If you are a diver, the Marazul House Reef is amazing.  Through our many years of diving the house reef, we have seen so much varied sea life right in front of Marazul.  There are two entrances into the sea, north and south.  You are just steps away from the north entrance. Both snorkelers and divers enjoy going into the sea right in front of Marazul.  You can also dive and snorkel the local beaches.

If diving or snorkeling is not your thing, you can relax by the pool.  The beautiful Bougainvillea and palm trees set the tone for a relaxing day.  Bird watchers will enjoy the hummingbirds, bananaquits, troupials, and brown-throated parakeets as well as numerous other colorful birds.  There are lounge chairs surrounding the pool as well as a gazebo with lounge chairs for those who prefer not to sunbathe. 

We strongly suggest you rent a car for the length of your stay.  There are so many beautiful beaches to visit.  There are a few beaches within easy walking distance but there are many other beaches that are just a short drive away from the townhome. There are also hiking trails and parks you may want to experience.  We also have several restaurants within walking distance but as with the beaches, there are many others that you will need a car to experience.  A trip to Willemstad for sightseeing and shopping is a fun way to spend a day or a few hours.  Once in Willemstad, take a photo of the colorful buildings along the waterfront.  Shop at the Renaissance Mall which is partly located within the walls of the historic Rif Fort.  Take a break from shopping and dine along the Handelskade waterfront in the Punda district and watch the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge swing open for the ships coming in and out of the harbor. It is an interesting and fun way to enjoy your lunch.
